a new week

Last week was so crazy!!! There were 3 days in a row where we had to ALL be out of the house before 8:00am to be at either teacher trainings or a party club. The kids were such troopers! I joked that if for some reason Matt couldn't do some training, Andrew could take his place. He's heard it so much! Actually though, we are so thankful that our kids can be involved in our ministry. There were some aspects of the training where the kids had to bring a game or schoolwork to keep busy, but they've also been able to be a part of the club demonstrations we've been doing at the training. They don't complain about Dad telling them a story, snacks being passed out to them, playing games, singing fun songs and getting prizes! They are great "clubbers" :)

I was really looking forward to the beginning of a new week where we could start fresh and be rested. So this week we started out by doing something we all enjoy. -Studying American history! This morning we made tangrams as we thought about what pioneer families might do on long winter evenings. Certainly no tv, computers, video games etc. They had to really use their imaginations! That's one thing Matt and I both desire for our kids. We don't want them to be unimaginitive so we try to give them opportunities to encourage creativity.
Tomorrow is the second Salvation Army Good News Club. Our whole family is looking forward to it! Stay tuned for an update as to what God is doing in the city of Manchester!
