2 Good News Clubs

Yesterday was a busy day! Matt was asked to help out with a Good News Club at one of the elementary schools in Manchester. Our whole family went. Matt told a story using puppets and and was able to give the whole gospel. 7 kids got saved!!! At one point during the club I was sitting near a boy who was a little rowdy. When he got suddenly quiet, I looked at him. He was looking down with such a sad look on his face. I quietly asked him what was wrong. After a few other questions, he burst into tears and told me he missed his mom "so bad". He said she lives a long way from here and he's not allowed to see her. When I put my hand on his back to try to comfort him, he threw his arms around me and just sobbed into my shoulder. I felt so bad for this little boy. I prayed with him and reminded him that God loves his mom and that He is with her just like He's with him. My heart was broken for him- and for other children who are in similar and even worse situations.

After club, the kids played at the school playground until it was time to leave for the Salvation Army club. Matt told the Bible lesson and you could have heard a pin drop in there! He did a great job talking about Daniel. You can tell from the picture that he is well liked by the kids. This group of girls was a lot of fun last night! Brianna is also a big help at club. In this picture she is listening to Angel say his verse from last week.
