teacher training

Today was a Teacher Training workshop. With school starting, many people have committed to going into their local public schools to teach after-school Good News Clubs. Matt had the privilege of teaching some of these "heroes" at this seminar. These individuals are heroes because they are giving of their time and themselves to help children know the love that Jesus has for each of them. And in doing that, they are offering kids hope. Hope in this life and the hope of eternal life! What an awesome thing to do. Matt really enjoyed teaching and connecting with them through this time today. Matt's main job was to teach lesson prep and tips on relating to kids, but equally important to him was his goal of supporting and encouraging these teachers.

One aspect of the training was a demonstration of a Club. Our kids came along as "real live" kids for the demo. They had fun and Drew even won the quiet seat prize! I left with the kids after their part of it but Matt stayed for the rest of the day.
