When we got home, Chad got a fire going in my fire pit and we roasted marshmallows and had s'mores. Brianna had done a great job watching Leah and all the rest of the family hardly even missed us :)

girls day out
What a great day we had on Saturday! It's always a treat to have my sister Mel and her husband Chad come up from NJ to visit. This visit was extra special as we had planned to have our annual "girls day out". That is when my mom and my sisters and I go out together and have some girl time. We've done a variety of things in the past years from seeing the Nutcracker at the Wang Center to watching an Irish Christmas celebration to visiting Strawberry Bank. This year since I was leaving Leah behind (which put me on a time frame since I'm the only one who can feed her!) we went to downtown Concord and walked Main St. Before we did that, Mom showed us where she went to Kindergarten and where she used to live as a 5 year old. It was interesting to me that she still remembered where she walked to attend a Good News Club at a neighbor's house! Once we got to walking, we realized we were all pretty hungry. We enjoyed lunch at a little Mediterranean restaurant. We really hit the jackpot though when we found (on mom's reccomendation) the Concord Antiques Gallery. We had so much fun! I love my family!
