We had quite the ice storm last week! Almost a week later, lots of people are still without power. We are so thankful that we never lost ours. My parents and sister, brother-in-law and their kids were without electricity from Thursday night until Sunday night. We were happy to have them here! I felt like it was a vacation! We stayed up one night (just adults) and watched Christian comedian Tim Hawkins and laughed our heads off. Once we waited until the kids were all distracted with other things and made hot chocolate pudding to eat over vanilla ice cream. :) Rachelle and I and the girls went out to do some Christmas shopping and had a blast! Rachelle and I stayed up one night until about 1:00 talking and just having a good time while Adam and Matt played Fifa soccer. The kids all played so well together the whole weekend! An added bonus was that Dad saw that my electric griddle was broken and he bought me a new one. I felt obligated to make pancakes on it the next morning, but it was never more fun to do!
Saturday night our kids were in a Christmas play at church and it was nice that everyone could go to that. And Sunday, since EBBC was cancelled my family was able to go to church with us.
They were glad when their power came back on but I was glad for the time it was off!
