Our little Alissa turns 9 tomorrow! Since we are leaving at about 5am tomorrow to go to Philadelphia to see my brother and sister-in-law we decided to celebrate with gifts and cake & ice cream tonight. Of all the gifts we got her, she was most excited to get the CD's we got her. As soon as she could, she and both her sisters went right into her room to listen to them. As a matter of fact, she is cleaning her room right now and I hear her singing along. It sounds so sweet and makes a mother's heart very happy! :) I'm sure it makes God's heart happy to hear it too.
I have not yet been able to figure out what all our kids' spiritual gifts are, but I am pretty certain that hers is the gift of mercy. She is so compassionate and so sweet and sensitive to others. She brings joy to our whole family just by being the wonderful "Ali" that God made her!
