sick

Here is our sick little baby. She was doing very poorly and was filled "junkies" as I prefer to call the stuff that comes out of nose, eyes and mouth when one is sick :)
Matt and I have had experience with this sickness since both Brianna and Alissa had it when they were babies. That doesn't make it any nicer though! When I finally decided to take Leah to see a doctor, the doctor was very pessimistic. She asked how far we lived from the hospital, told me that the chances were very high that she would need to be seen again, that she wasn't "hospital sick"...YET but that could change very quickly, told me to bring her in again or to the ER if I even thought she wasn't doing okay etc. I left not feeling very encouraged as Leah coughed her way out to the car and all the way home. I called Matt while driving and told him the diagnosis of bronchiolitis and that they tested for RSV. Matt immediately sent out an e-mail asking our friends and family for prayer. I just want to say that I am embarrassed at what happened next. I was SURPRISED that Leah took an amazing turn for the better! I'm not embarrassed that

she started to get better but that I was surprised. Matt received over 30 e-mail responses from people who were praying for her. (It was more of a blessing to both of us than I can even say. ) With all those people praying I should have know that there was a great chance of God answering "yes" to the requests for her little body. Instead of going from bad to worse (which is what the doctor, when she called me the next morning, told me again would happen) she began to gradually get better. Although she is still sick (and I've been up with her a lot at night ) her breathing has gotten much easier. It was difficult to see her laboring to breathe- even arching her back to get air at some points. So I was thankful that God allowed her to breathe without much trouble.

Last night and this morning I was concerned because she wasn't eating and was acting very lethargic. I called a couple of people who prayed for her and within 4 hours she was eating again. I don't know how to type the words "Praise God" like they feel in my soul!

Leah is doing amazingly well although she is still a sick little girl. She has had a fever since Saturday although yesterday and today it has stayed low grade. She still has a nasty cough also. The doctors say that could last for weeks and affect her for the next 2-3 years! Thankfully I am assured of the Great Physician's love and care for her and although He didn't need to, He has proven it over and over in just the last 3 days!

Doesn't she look like she's doing better in this picture taken today than the ones up top? Praise God!!
