odiorne point

It was so much fun to take Mary to Odiorne Point and spend time there at the ocean. It was a beautiful day! Ruthie met us there with Ethan, Jeremiah and Hannah. We had a picnic lunch, played at the playground and then went to the beach part and just explored. Leah enjoyed herself in the backpack. There was a time though that she started really fussing and I realized that she had at some point dropped (or thrown!) her pacifer. We looked all over the beach for it and even asked some passing people to keep an eye out for it. I half expected to see a seagull fly by with a pacifier in its beak! I had just given up all hope of finding it when Ethan came to me with it in his hand. He was a true hero! It is a long drive from Rye to Concord and it would have been miserable without her pacifier. It was a great time.

Ethan is an amazing artist. I've seen his work on paper but until Friday hadn't seen it on sand!
