we made it!

We made it! We touched down at our new home in the late afternoon on Wednesday. We thank the Lord and all you who prayed for our trip. It went very smoothly. Leah did well and we didn't get stuck in any traffic. We were all so happy to get out of the Suburban and check out the new place.

Here is Leah sitting in the grass in the back yard. Happy to be out of her carseat!

A few minutes after we arrived, Dad and Mom got there with the truck.

Matt, Dad and Tom were busy unloading the truck when, would you even believe who showed up? Charles! He had driven 2 and a half hours from Lynchburg to see us. He was a great help with unloading and even helped move my beloved piano in.
2 committe members and 3 staff members greeted us (on behalf of the rest of the staff and committee) with so much stuff! They brought over paper towels, ziplock bags, toilet paper, toothpaste, shampoos, hand soaps, dishsoaps, laundry soaps, napkins, tissues and more non food items they had bought for us. They also brought over supper in a crockpot (enough for all of us with leftovers to boot!) supper for the next night, desserts, homemade lemonade, breakfast and lunch and tons of food for our pantry, fridge and freezer. Words can't express how thankful Matt and I are for all they did for us. Just their presence and welcome was so encouraging and a blessing to us. Here is the meal we had the next night without having to do any shopping of our own!

This morning the kids loved having breakfast since the committee members had brought us really good cereal!

Dad and Mom have helped so much. Dad and Cam set up beds today while Mom and I tackled unpacking kitchen things. Matt organized all the boxes and furniture and did a little bit of everything.

Right before supper Matt and Dad returned the moving truck. They took Drewie with them and he got to ride in the big truck. He loved it!

We are all so so tired. More posts to come- time for bed now!

I LOVE to hear how God is answering prayer b/c I have been specifically praying that He would bring encouragement and provision - and I see both in this post! And I'm so glad your parents could be with you to help during this time.
