God has been so good to us! Well, considering the gift of life, His love, His creation, access to Him through Jesus and things like that I can confidently say He is ALWAYS good! But lately, He has been just showering gifts on us. We have had quite a few needs and He has been faithful to provide for us.
I can't even begin to list all He has done but I was so excited when He had a great friend and her family completely unexpectedly stop by and spend the night in their motor home. I was SO encouraged by my visit with Jenn. She encouraged me in many ways and I was very refreshed by the visit. Not only was I encouraged but Matt enjoyed the time spent with Rusty and Alissa had great fun with Torry and Lizzie! Thank you Lord for not just meeting my physical needs but my emotional needs as well.
Another neat thing (to put it mildly) was the anonymous gift of a brand new washer and dryer by some people here in Virginia. I went 13 days without doing laundry (with the exception of a few things I washed by hand) and was never so happy to see a delivery truck in my life! Those appliances were run nonstop for hours yesterday and late into the night.
I still can't get over all that the CEF Richmond committee did for us on our arrival. More gifts from God!
On top of all that, Brianna has raise about 95% of what she needs for CYIA this year! She is seeing first hand God's provision for her own needs as she serves Him. Here she is on the phone lining up prayer partners for her summer ministry.
In light of all of that and more, we decided to have a special "feast" last night to celebrate God's goodness to us. We wanted to make sure that He knew we were thankful for all that He has done for us, the ways He has provided (recently we didn't know how we'd pay some extra expenses that came up and God just wowed us with something...) and the special love and attention we have felt from Him. We all gave thanks and had a party!
As Matt would say "God is good all the time!"
