It's hard to believe our baby is one year old! She's a precious little thing who has worked her way into our hearts in an amazing way. We all just adore her. In fact, last Saturday the kids were at a chess tournament all day. As soon as Cameron walked in the door, he said "Where's Leah?". I told him she was sleeping and he begged to wake her up because, "I haven't seen her ALL day!".
She is trying to talk, pulls herself up on anything or anyBODY and can crawl almost as fast as I can walk! She loves grilled cheese sandwiches, pizza, cheese omlettes, string cheese and pretty much anything cheesy. She loves the song "I'm Letting Go", by Francesca Battistelli (maybe due to the fact that Alissa would always sing it to her and clap and laugh and be silly) and if you don't believe me, just play it in front of her someday and watch her reaction! She intensely watches what is going on around her and doesn't miss a thing. She loves all the attention that she gets- and that is A LOT!
Our prayer for her is that she will grow up to love the Lord her God with all her heart and with all her soul and with all her mind. That she will grow in wisdom, in stature and in favor with God and man. That she will know the deep love that God has for her and that she will put her faith and trust completely in Jesus for her eternal life. I completely agree with Solomon in Psalms when he said that children are gifts of the the LORD. Leah and all of our children are gifts! We are truly blessed!
