richmond metro youth chess tournament

At the last minute, we found a scholastic chess tournament that was to be played on Saturday. So, on Friday night, the kids got out their boards and went to bed to get a good nights rest before getting up at 6:30 the next morning to head to the tournament. There were mixed emotions as both Matt and the kids were reminded of how much they miss the rest of their team in NH. :(
They thought there were going to be 3 rounds played but there were actually FIVE! It was a very long day. Cameron and Caleb took first place in their divisions (Caleb going 5 and 0) and Alissa and Andrew did well in theirs. We're proud of you guys!
