Christmas morning started wonderfully for Matt and I. The kids got up, opened their stockings, cleaned the living room and then took our order for breakfast. Scrambled eggs with cheese, home fries and coffee was what we ordered and it was brought right up to us in bed! Doesn't get much better than that!
Matt read the Christmas story to us from Luke 2.

God provided for us incredibly this year. Some people we don't even know shopped for our kids and blessed them with some really neat gifts. They were so thankful!

Brianna got me this gift. She knows me well!

The boys got some new chess stuff (Cameron especially enjoyed these new pieces) and they all played lots of chess in the afternoon.

Brianna loves her guitar!

Sister snuggle time

We had a birthday cake for Jesus- we didn't want to forget why we celebrate the day!

We ended the day by skyping with some grandparents. Leah tried to monopolize the conversation.... we have some lessons on manners to teach her :)

We were all so excited when it started to snow. It is so beautiful and although some may not want to hear this, it was a direct answer to Alissa's and my prayers. Thank you Lord! I appreciate every bit of the beauty and peacefulness of the snow- every bit.

It was a wonderful day.

I was so excited for you when I heard the blizzard was hitting VA too!!! I took it as a special blessing from God for you. And we're happy that it's here now, too - so white and beautiful and fun for the kids!! Merry Christmas, my friend!
