We had only been in VA for a couple of months when we started hearing from people that we should meet this family. Unfortunately it took us almost 3 years to finally meet them. They are area missionaries with Word of Life and they have three kids that are the same ages as our oldest three. Matt had a couple of opportunities to see Kevin as their paths crossed in ministry and I met Gretchen at the CEF banquet. We hit it off right away. We followed up by having them over for dinner and then they had us over tonight. It was such sweet fellowship. I feel like we've known them forever! We have so much in common. We have mixed emotions tonight. So happy to have gotten to know them and spend time with them, but so sad to be saying goodbye. Brianna will see them in a few weeks at Word of Life and I just know that we will continue to be in each other's lives.
