Today the kids and I started a study on Proverbs. We are using the book from Doorposts called "Hidden Treasures: Searching for Wisdom". We kicked off the study with a treasure hunt that all the kids enjoyed! They were racing around the house like crazy looking for clues and Cameron was the one who finally led them to the treasure....chocolate candy! They were pretty excited.
I learned a lot about the book of Proverbs by reading the introduction to the Doorposts book. I think the kids (the older ones at least) were able to catch some of the excitement. The younger ones are coloring pictures that represent one of the verses in the Proverb I read aloud. The older ones are filling in a chart where they're keeping track of the "do's", "do not's" and the reasons why. It looks like it's going to be a great study! I'm sure the kids aren't going to be the only ones learning :)
