Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve is one of my favorite days of the year. Our family tradition includes going to my parents house before the Christmas Eve service along with my 2 sisters and their families. Dad gets pizza from Fremont Pizzeria and we all enjoy it! Then while Dad is getting his tie on and Rachelle is putting finishing touches on the power point, Mom looks for the 17 year old copy of "Christmas Lights" that Matt and I, Melanie, Rachelle and Adam will be singing at the close of the candlelight service. Chewing on pizza crust and sipping egg nog we give the song a practice run and then get ready to head to church. That's what happens every Christmas Eve!

Chad (my brother-in-law) probably wishes he was singing with us instead of having "fire duty" during our special music. All that means is he sits in a pew with 6 kids (4 of mine and my sister's 2.-Bri had "baby duty") who each have lit candles and makes sure that noone catches anything or anyone on fire! As Rachelle said to him last night, "you'll be sitting with 5 boys with fire. do what you can. " :) Thankfully he did great and the fire stayed where it was supposed to.

After the service we go back to my parents and exchange gifts and eat lots of food. These pictures don't do the great time justice, but do show some of the festivites!

We loved all the gifts we got but Rachelle and Adam went with a theme with the gifts they got us :)
