picnic

Today I was determined to do something. Something fun-ish. I have felt like my family has been so effected by how I have been feeling physically that I was hoping to make a GOOD memory.
We all piled into the Suburban and headed out. We never left town, but had a fun morning anyway. While Cameron got his hair cut, the rest of us went into Petco right next to the barber shop and watched Leah go crazy over the hampsters, mice, bunnies and turtles. Then Matt treated us to Subway. We brought our sandwiches over to the YMCA where they have a park out behind their building.


The boys played basketball while Matt got the sandwiches all ready.

We thought we had the perfect spot to eat.

...until THEY showed up!

Matt tried to chase them away but they kept coming back. At one point Leah had all of them following her. She was walking around with a big piece of sandwich in her hand- just at their level! We decided to move.

Brianna took Leah down to the playground while we finished eating.

Alissa spotted a turtle across the pond so Matt went over with her and Leah to get a closer look.

I don't think I'll be doing anything else the rest of the day. I am exhausted- but so happy!
