Andrew is eight

Andrew had a birthday on Saturday.  It was a crazy day though as we had Upward basketball AND we had a drive NH planned for that day!  So, the normal meal out with Mom and Dad had to be put off.  We will do that soon, but just to start his birthday off in a special way, I took him to Dunkin Donuts and he got a maple frosted donut.  And loved it!

One of my favorite things about this boy?  His eyes.  He knew it was his special day and his eyes showed his excitement.  We couldn't wrap his present but had him look out the window to see what it was.  He was so excited to see a new field goal post that Matt made for him the night before out of PVC pipe.  I'm sure he will be getting a lot of use out of that!

Andrew is an awesome part of our family.  Silly, happy, impulsive, sensitive and an all around fun kid to be around.  He memorizes verses every week, reads his Bible daily, can beat anyone in a Sword Drill on any given day, empties all the small trashes in the house, keeps the mudroom clean and neat, loves sports-especially football and basketball, is getting better at chess every day, would eat cereal for every meal, won't eat cupcakes since that was what he ate last before he got the stomach flu, his brothers are his best friends, he wants to be just like dad when he grows up, doesn't have his appendix, doesn't like television much unless it's sports and gives wonderful hugs.  Happy Birthday Drewie!
