National Conference- Day 2

Where do I begin? There is something amazing about being away and being immersed in a family of believers, convicting mesages, challenging workshops, exciting ministry opportunities.... It is hard to know how to process all of what we are experiencing.

Matt and I had the privilege of sitting in on a workshop and then a general session led by Mat Staver . He is a hero of CEF and its workers. He founded Liberty Counsel which is a "non-profit litigation, education, and policy organization dediacated to advancing religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, and the family". He has gone to court on behalf of CEF and has never lost a case with CEF. LC mostly gets involved with CEF when a school won't let a team get in with an After School Good News Clubs or advertise in the same ways they let other groups. He is a definite friend and advocate of CEF. He gave the most Spirit-filled amazing message on the importance of reaching children. He pointed out how "he who captures the youth controls the future" and how our enemy knows that. He told us to NEVER give up, NEVER quit, NEVER back down and FINISH STRONG. He received 2 standing ovationsn- one before he even started speaking! He is a true man of God.
There is also something so cool about the bond we have with the other CEF people we have met here. We have met some really neat people who share with us a desire and passion to see kids reached with the Gospel of Jesus. We are thankful.
